Arun Kasi & Co was founded in 2010 by Dr. Arun Kasi, is a well known expert in shipping law and arbitration. He is ranked in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners for his shipping law practice in Malaysia.
In addition to active practice in Malaysia, Dr. Arun Kasi is also an actively practising barrister in London. He is a member of the London Arbitrators Association (LMAA), London Shipping Law Centre (LSLC) and London Shipping Law Centre (LSLC).
He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London (CIArb). He is an arbitrator in the panel of Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) [formerly known as KLRCA].
He has written numerous books and articles on maritime law and arbitration, published aroudn the world. He is also the author/general editor of AK on Shipping, Monthly published by his English Chambers, 4-5 Grays’ Inn Square, London. His works have been cited by the appellate courts in various judgments. A recent major book of him published by Springer in 2022 is The Law of Carriage of Goods by Sea.
He regularly appears before all levels of judicature courts in Malaysia and the superior courts in England. He also regularly appears before arbitral tribunals in various jurisdictions including London, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, and arbitral tribunal in London, Malaysia, Singapore, Newzealand, Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei), etc.
